Amber Mariano


State Representative Amber Mariano is a Republican serving District 36 in the Florida House of Representatives, which includes Hudson, Port Richey, New Port Richey and Holiday, Fla. Elected in 2016 at the age of 21, Representative Mariano is the youngest State Representative to serve in Florida’s Legislature.

Representative Mariano graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science specializing in American Politics and Policy in 2017 and is currently pursuing a masters in Political Science at the University of West Florida.

While serving in the Florida Legislature, Representative Mariano is fighting to improve infrastructure issues in Pasco County and make the higher-education system more affordable and accessible. Mariano serves as Chair on the Post-Secondary Education & Lifelong Learning Subcommittee, and Vice-Chair on the Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee. She is also on the Education & Employment Committee, Pandemics & Public Emergencies Committee, Regulatory Reform Subcommittee, and the Rules Committee.

Representative Mariano is actively involved with PACE Center for Girls in Pasco, SmileFaith, and the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce. She is also a realtor with Coldwell Banker, and currently works as a paralegal at the Kemp, Ruge, and Green Law Firm.
