In 2017, Governor Scott appointed Representative Alex Andrade to serve as a commissioner on the 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, tasked with vetting judicial candidates for the Governor’s appointment to the bench. Representative Andrade was subsequently reappointed by Governor DeSantis to continue serving as a commissioner.
Since his election as the state representative for Florida House District 2, Representative Andrade has worked to pass conservative, pro-military, pro-life and small government legislation. He is most proud of his sponsorship of HB 7105, which provides benefits for families of members of our armed forces and of first responders who make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Representative Andrade has consistently supported President Trump and has successfully worked to pass bills that help Make America Great Again. Since his election, Representative Andrade has helped pass a ban on sanctuary cities in Florida, requirements for E-Verify and worked to increase protections for the 2nd Amendment and bring back the right of churches to defend themselves.
Representative Andrade is a true fiscal conservative, who has always voted to keep Florida’s budget balanced responsibly and has worked to provide over $100 million in tax cuts for all Floridians.
Representative Andrade lives in Pensacola with his wife, Jessica, and their two dogs, Dash and Jake.
In his free time, Representative Andrade helps run Onbikes Pensacola, a charity he co-founded, which has provided thousands of bicycles to children in Northwest Florida.
